Breeding - Cave Spawner, provide caves in the form of rockwork, driftwood, oak leaves, clay pots, etc.

Personal Remarks - For care, please refer to the recent article written by Ted Judy in the April 2008 Buntbarsche Bulletin #245. An even sex ratio of males to females can be obtained in juvenile Apistogramma when temperatures are kept around 80 F consistently for the first 6-8 weeks of life. Fry take baby brine shrimp and show sexual dimorphism at about 4-5 months of age. Additional remarks will be made once we grow out the fry received from T. Judy.
