Breeding - Cave Spawner, provide caves in the form of rockwork, driftwood, oak leaves, clay pots, etc.

Personal Remarks - Care is straightforward provided frozen &/or live foods are given. Aggression must be managed as the species is fairly aggressive towards conspecifics. Eggs may number as many as 40-50. Was a rare species in the hobby but has been bred regularly enough that is appears to be established enough to find among Apistogramma breeders.
