Distribution/Location - Rio Negro & upper Rio Orinoco, Brazil, Colombia & Venezuela

Water Parameters - pH 6-6.8

Temperature - 76-84 F

Size - Male: 3" Female: 2"

Breeding - Cave Spawner, provide caves in the form of rockwork, driftwood, oak leaves, clay pots, etc.

Personal Remarks - Needs soft water and frozen &/or live foods. Not found in the hobby often but is available from time to time. R/O water with peat, oak or almond leaves provide the best conditions for breeding. Unfortunately, I was only able to acquire adult specimens & was unable to get a successful spawn from them.
