Breeding - Larvophilous mouthbrooder (Both parents mouthbrood fry after fry hatch)

Personal Remarks - Easy to keep, provide regular water changes and a tank size of 50 gallons or larger. Can be considered a dwarf Geophagus species. Fry are chewed out of their eggs after only 36 hours of being laid by the parents.

Additional Remarks - May be Geophagus parnaibae or a closely related species.
