Scientific Name - Loricaria sp.

Distribution/Location - Loricaria species are found throughout South America, this specimen is probably from Brazil, Bolvia or Peru

Water Parameters - pH 6.0-7.5

Temperature - 76-84 F

Size - Males: 8-10" Females: 6-7"

Breeding - Loricaria species are mouthbrooding catfish that carry their eggs until they hatch. Hatching typically occurs within 10-14 days post spawning (Evers & Seidel 2005).

Personal Remarks - Accepts all foods. Enjoys frozen foods like blood worms & brine shrimp. Can not compete with faster moving species like some cichlids & other catfish species.
