Breeding - Open Spawner, spawns on most surfaces including the tank glass. Fry need constant feedings & water changes, making this species one of the harder Loricarridae to raise successfully.

Personal Remarks - Herbivorous, feed veggie waffers & pellets. Will not compete for food with other more aggressive feeders. Fry in some batches exhibited a red color form. This feature only occurred in less then 5% of the spawn. It is hoped to be able to breed this naturally occurring color form out of this species.
